I bought this farmhouse pendant light for my dining room and for our kitchen table. I love the style of the light. It only gives a downward light to the area, which is fine for the areas where I put it. The canopy that came with the lights, are too small to cover a normal round electrical ceiling box. It was 3-3/4. We had to purchase two 5" canopys to cover our ceiling holes. We wanted to shorten the length on both of them. (Tying a knot like a picture I saw made the light look crooked) It was not a quick fix to shorten, we had to cut the rope and the wires. The end of the rope that goes to the canopy had a center threaded fixture that the rope is glued to. (this is what screws to the center of the canopy) That had to cleaned up, reglued the rope to it and retaped. Overall I like the light, but wished they had mentioned the size of the canopy in the description.
