A classic of Civil War history. I originally checked this book out of the library years ago when I was living in Wisconsin, curious about the part Wisconsin troops played in the history of this famous unit. I was so inspired by this book that I'm using the Iron Brigade at Gettysburg as a major scene in a historical novel I'm working on. I bought a copy of my own for reference to maintain historical accuracy.
