I am a tea addict. Loose leaf Assam, Earl Grey, Sencha, Genmaicha, Jiagulan, Tulsi, Yerba Mate, etc...I often make at least 2 pots before noon and sometimes a third in the afternoon. I love this little teapot. I use it as a teapot more than a kettle. I boil water in an electric kettle and pour it over loose tea. The basket hangs low enough to let the leaves really soak and steep. Not the case with all tea pots with built in strainers. I also get very few leaves and sediment so the filter does it's job. By the way, unless you use a paper filter you will always get some particles. You would also lose some flavor with a paper filter. It's the right size for 2 big mugs or my humongous 20 oz travel mug. I usually fill up my mug throw the rest in a travel mug and refill the tea pot with water and get a second brew. I actually think it keeps tea warmer than my last few ceramic teapots especially a glass one (mistake). I have put it on the stove top to warm up the brew that had been sitting for awhile but it brews a perfect pot the way I described. Super easy to clean and looks great on top of all that. I don't always review something that I have not owned for at least a few months but after the first 10 pots I am very happy. If something changes in the next few months I will update otherwise.Smaller than I expectedI use this on an electric heater, it heats well and keeps the water hot long. Before using, I boiled water and damped it as instructed. There is no weird taste of water using this kettle. This is beautiful to look at, I’m glad I bought this tea kettle.Beautiful teapot! It doesn’t keep the tea especially warm, but it’s pretty to use.I am extreamly pleased. I think I should have bought a bigger size but the product is very niceEasy to use. Easy to clean like any other cast iron, dries quickly. Easy storage.It's a pretty pot- nicely painted. But it's small. Also, after a few uses, the inside was melting black paint or whatever varnish the inside is coated with.Works perfectly my wife loves it very well-made
