Vibration is undesirable in many domains, primarily engineered systems and habitable spaces, and methods have been developed to prevent the transfer of vibration to such systems. Vibrations propagate via mechanical waves and certain mechanical linkages conduct vibrations more efficiently than others. Passive vibration isolation makes use of materials and mechanical linkages that absorb and damp these mechanical waves.

These worked perfectly in an outdoor application as an anti-vibration pad for a residential AC condenser stand. Although they are quite stiff, I was able to level up the stand by about an 1/8" differential by compressing them down a little bit (or not) to the concrete with Simpson Titen 2 screw anchors. They do smell like a tire shop, so keep them in the package, and then outside immediately after opening. The additional neoprene pads on the top of the stands are 10-Piece Neoprene Sponge Foam Rubber Sheet & Pad with Adhesive By AUSPA 7 in x 7 in x 1/3" Thick (#5) and they also worked perfectly to dampen contact between the unit and the steel tube stand, I just cut them to size with a utility knife and the self-adhesive easily held them in place for a few weeks through winter weather until the unit arrived. The only thing I might have done differently, was to wait until these arrived to measure the indent locations to better align the Titen anchors through the base plates of the stand. In the photo, the concrete was sloped by about an inch, so we shortened two of the stand legs by that inch to account for it.
