I looked all over for a thick crinkle slicer to cut waffle fries. This was the only one I could find. I didn't want to purchase it at first because I felt that $45 was a steep price tag when other slicers can be purchased for about $25. I have noticed that since my purchase, the price has gone down a little. I do love this crinkle cutter. The blade spacing is wide enough to cut the perfect waffle fry. It comes with a hand shield with spikes that is adjustable and holds the potatoes very well. The crinkle blade is sharp and smoothly cuts the potato in one pass. I was able to cut several pounds of waffle fries using this cutter in no time at all. The cutter is easy to clean, store, and handle. This is an excellent cutter. I recommend it.
