This is NOT a professional Keratin hair straightener. A real professional one would be much more expensive and work correctly. This was a waste of money as my hair does nothing but stay curly. I settled because the expensive one was on backorder for weeks and weeks. Don't settle.Main reason for this unit was the auto shutoff. Thank God! Wife very happy with overall performance.Product comes with a velcro "belt" to tie cord together, when turned on light starts out blinking then turns red when ready for use, which doesn't take too long to heat up. I like that I don't have to worry about pushing down or off the temperature button like others have it on top of the handle. Did notice a better straightening with this product compared to the Jose Eber. Pink and white is very nice looking.I have so many flat irons, still searching for the perfect one . This one is super close. Hair glides right thru, nice protective coating on blades. My only issue after 3wks of use is that it seems the front of blades are loosing heat while the back, or bottom of iron, is hotter. Weird but true. I got the silver one with black plates. Will order the black with silver plates to see if difference but overall, beats my Conair, Remington, and hsi ironsWazor customer service is very supportive and attentive. They care about their users satisfaction. For straight and thin hair the product works well. I have curly and thicker hair for which the Chi I had was a better. To get it even close to the same result I had to turn up the Wazor to 410 degrees. However, I’d rate a Chi as a 4 star and a Solano a 5 star (for curly hair users).I have 4 daughters all with long thick hair and have about 6 flat irons ranging in price from $35 to $150. The most expensive one is the one that doesn't work well. Go Figure. I bought this for a Christmas present for one of my girls because she said her friend has it and it works so good and she was right. It heats up very quickly and you don't have to pull super thin amounts of hair through it for it to work. It takes her about 10 minutes to do her whole head and her hair is to the middle of her back. It also doesn't pull her hair like the other ones we have. The plates and smooth and goes through the hair without that pulling. Great Product!!!I am low maintenance no fuss for hair, usually a braid or ponytail and never even use a hairdryer. Bought this for the rare occasions I need to dress up. Liked the ability to straighten or curl with the edge with one tool instead of multiples. Since I’m not used to styling as much, I was skeptical of my ability to maneuver but I had great waves in my long hair in under 10 minutes on my first use and no burns! WIN!Great straightener. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it’s smaller so I have to do it in smaller portions, which takes a little longer. It’s pretty good for waves and loose curls, too. But I suppose that’s my fault for not paying closer attention to the size when I ordered it.
