This Japanese made incense burner will hold one to four sticks of incense at one time and catches the ashes in the surrounding bowl. Cone incense can also be burned in the bowl part of the burner. Lots of reviews saying it doesn't catch ash, well that's because none of them do. It's ash, it's unpredictable. Yes it catches some ash, but not all, and if you used your noggin it would be easy to understand why. Anyway, I love it. I would recommend it. It is small but again, use your noggin and read the description, they aren't trying to pull a fast one on you for Pete sakes.
