From the Manufacturer Mission Rubber Flex-Seal Couplings are an extensive line of flexible sewer couplings that connect similar and dissimilar pipe materials and sizes. They are manufactured with natural and synthetic rubbers conforming to ASTM C 425 and ASTM C 1173. Blends of natural and synthetic rubbers permit a substantial degree of distortion without change in basic physical or chemical resistance unlike other manufacturers' thermoplastic coupling materials. Flex-Seal Couplings have a tolerance range of approximately ± 3-percent on sizes up to 12-Inch nominal diameter. The two 300 Series Stainless Steel worm drive clamping bands on each coupling hold pipe ends securely

I am using this to control the water level in a 1/8 acre fish pond in the back yard. The pond overflow is a vertical 8" PVC pipe that turns horizontal several feet down and exits through the dam. This sleeve is an easy way to raise the and lower the water through almost a 6" range--the lowest level is "no sleeve"; the highest is with the sleeve installed almost at the end of the overflow making the pipe longer (higher) so the water rises in the pond until it can again overflow through the pipe--works great and easy to install or adjust.OKWorked greatAlways great product.
