Every single recipe has been a hit. I especially love the buttermilk drop biscuits. They're easy to make and they turn out perfectly soft and pillowy every time. The instructions are easy to follow and the photographs are really well done. I also appreciate that the author includes instructions on how to restore old cast iron pieces that are rusty or poorly maintained. I'd recommend this to anyone interested in southern cooking, but I'd especially recommend it to people who want to connect to southern cuisine but don't know where to start.
