This is my favorite small wok. It is light and handles well, heats quickly, and seasons beautifully. It is perfect for one or two person meals. Before seasoning it took a good 30 minutes and lots of effort and a stainless scrubber with just water to remove the factory coating. It was not easy but you could see the black goo gradually disappearing. After that seasoning was almost effortless and produced a near black coating of extremely durable material. I use high heat and metal utensils very hard and no scratches and super slick results. If I do overheat and get some sticking, I just add water afterwards, heat to boiling and use a bamboo brush, dry heat a bit and rub it with a little oil. Good as new. This is a professional wok and it is obvious when you use it. It is made of a Japanese Blue steel so it does act differently with heat. Heats very quickly so be careful.
