Bought as gift. Excellent product packagingQuality of the Legos and the instructions is sky-high, as per usual. This kit includes an iron golem, zombie, and Alex figures. The cute part of it is that it flips. You come across the scene with a scarecrow on display, but then the landscape flips over and the iron golem appears.Took my 11 year old a couple hours to put it all together. Got it using Amazon Now as a reward for suffering through a family epidemic of flu and we were all stuck at home.This is a good Lego Minecraft starter set. You get Alex, a zombie, a baby pig, and of course the iron golem. The set includes spares of the smallest pieces in case you lose them.The pieces for putting together the iron golem spawn are really tiny- hence the 8+ recommendation. Also, building the spawn feature might be a bit too complicated for a younger kid, but I'm sure they'd have fun with it if they got someone older to help them put it together.I recommend pairing this set with Lego Minecraft The Cave set (21113). They are both smaller, cheaper sets- together they cost about $30, and you'll get a good mix of bricks and figures. The quality that you come to expect from Lego is evident in this Minecraft set. My son has recently fallen in love with all things Minecraft or Lego so this item was perfect as a gift for him. I was pleasantly surprised at the number figurines in the set. I kind of figured that it would come with one or maybe two figurines and a small landscape, but it came with a zombie, iron golem, pig, and the girl from Minecraft. He has had lots of fun with the set. It was definitely worth the money spent. Instructions were easy to follow, as per usual for Lego. Product came quickly in original packaging.My daughter received LEGO Minecraft The Iron Goleman for her birthday. She is very into Minecraft, and has really started to enjoy LEGO building sets. This is the combination of two of her passions.The set was easy for her to build so she could start enjoying it right away. Though it wasn't so easy as to seem as though it was made for a 4 year old. It had the right amount of challenge for my 12 year old daughter. The instructions were easy to follow, and she had no need for help from us.I highly recommend all the LEGO Minecraft sets top any child who loves Minecraft, LEGOS, or both.Lego never disappoints, but a LEGO steal is even better. This made our favorite 7 yr old one happy boy on his birthday! I think Legos are so great for kids, and I always buy sets that are too complex for the age so the parent and child complete the build together! It really doesn't get any better than family time, and LEGO is a fav for us. The Minecraft theme is well done here. Very happy - thanks for the deal!My son loved it. The only down side. THEY ARE LEGOS AND LEGOS AND FEET DONT LIKE EACH OTHER AT 4am when you’re walking to the kitchen in the dark. Ha. We did find the same product at Walmart cheaper. That’s the only downside.I purchased this Lego set for my 8-year-old son as a gift for his birthday. He builds all of his Lego sets by himself and did not have any issues putting this set together. I was really happy to see that they finally had a set of Minecraft Legos that included the Iron Golem as that is one of his favorite Minecraft Legos. With Minecraft Legos being a lot more expensive than regular Lego sets, I was actually surprised that this set came with the amount of Legos it did for the price. Definitely worth the buy!
