Though Rosettes are traditionally made in holiday patterns, using shapes like snowflakes or stars, we have a wide selection of these irons in an assortment of interesting patterns, such as this spring-like butterfly design. Our Rosette Molds are made from a cast aluminum alloy, so they are lightweight for easy handling around hot oil, and durable. Design allows for the rosette cookie to slide easily off the mold after frying (Irons should be seasoned properly in hot oil prior to first use). Finish off your butterfly rosettes with powdered sugar for a beautiful presentation. Food-grade aluminum Although dishwasher is safe to use, it may discolor the product.

I remember a special friend making these cookies many years ago. One of the irons she had was the butterfly, and I didn't have that shape with the set I had. This iron worked perfectly. We seasoned it by letting it sit in the hot oil for 15-20 minutes before we started making the rosettes. With a little bit of nudging with a butter knife, the cookies came off the iron, same as the iron I already had.
